I’m Zach French a designer of web, identity, print, logo, product and the occasional ski or snowboard.
I am drawn to graphic design, not only because of the creative outlet it offers but also because of the problem solving and never-ending pursuit of innovation. I love the communication that is delivered through a simple aesthetic composition.
When I am not working on design, I am most often found outside. In the winter I am constantly absorbed in the world of snow. My first love was skiing and the snow sports industry. In the summertime I am running, biking or joining a pick up game of any variety.
I live in Fort Collins, Colorado a city widely known for being awesome. I enjoy the great food, excpetional beer and the bike friendly community that Fort Collins offers. It is a great place to live, work and play.
A sketchbook is a great tool for graphic designers. I have learned that designs starting in a sketch book make for the strongest finished designs. It offers the creative freedom like nothing else, letting the ideas and concepts be the priority. Below is a look into my sketchbook showing the first step in my design process.
